quote:

New Orleans has way more to offer in terms of things to do compared to Shreveport. That’s undisputed. The problem is that both cities have a significant hood culture that dominates every street corner.

Unless NOLA has a huge gentrification wave that spreads out into the hoods and pushes the hood trash further outwards from the city, nothing will change. The murder rate has gotten so bad that even affluent white liberals from the Northeast and West coast don’t want to move there

Those white liberals are foolish and self-destructive. They want a better city but actively work against measures that will do just that. They vote Democrat which are the softest on crime and cry about affordable housing which usually brings crime and bad schools which leads to the divestment of the area. If NOLA had a stronger and more diverse economy, capitalism (investors) would move the hood trash out more effectively and those white and Black liberals would take bribes/kickbacks to secretly help expediate the process

For half million you could get this in English Turn

That place is like 13 miles away from the FQ. More complicated commute to FQ and all the cool stuff
