That is a good point (i think). One person wins it all and pays taxes. That person gives another person 2 million and that person then has to pay taxes on 2 million. That correct?

Not really sure - it probably depends how it’s claimed on taxes

I did not want to be a jerk and hope piobball does not win, just so I can - I figure we can both just have winning numbers - irs can take care of the tax stuff

Gifts aren't taxable to the recipient, but gifts over a certain amount are taxable to the giver.

Best practice is form an LLC, divvy it up however you decide and everybody pays their own taxes
