Have been trying to check out flood levels at Frenchtown Road in Central. Not looking good due to proximity to Comite and Amite Rivers, but I am struggling to use the resources that are out there. Can anyone advise as to the status of this area? I am sure that it is affected but don't know/can't tell the extent. Thanks in advance.

No clue about now, but Saturday it was a mess. Tons of rescues. Water up to roofs.

Thanks Craig. That was my fear from reviewing the data available. Just couldn't really confirm. Was it widespread around that area or were there pockets of higher land?

I was out there Saturday doing boat rescues. Launched and the thruway and went east to Planchet. Saw wafb do a fly by today and it didn't look like the water had gone down at the few houses near the Thruway. I would imagine back near Planchet and thibodeaux are dry but the areas around that may still be under.

Eta. The first neighborhood on the right should be dry but the only way you would be able to get there is boat.

I was out there also, but never thought to take any pics. Yes, water to roofs on both sides of the throughway in various places. Didn't see one single house that didn't have water in it.
ETA: I take that back. On the west side of the throughway the first neighborhood to the right was dry on Saturday, but the water level rose since then so they may have got water also
