I don’t think you can realistically expect anyone beyond your grandchildren to visit your grave. We all become forgotten graves by the 4th generation, at best.

Only one I ever got to meet was my Great Grandmother. My grandmother had some pictures of me as a baby with her holding me since she lived with my grandparents. She died when I was 2. However, that whole side of my family going back to my grandfather's grandfather are all buried in the same cemetery and my family keeps it up pretty good. I'm sure that duty will be passed on to me in the future and it's something I will do with pride.

My Aunt and Uncle are buried in Cedarlawn in Jackson. Aunt passed away 6 years ago. No children. It’s the only burial I’ve ever attended where both the funeral director and I were both packing
