re: Foreign languages in high school classes

Americans are notoriously lacking when it comes to other languages

Schools need this in addition to language training

I remember reading that Home Ec classes (do those still exist?) got increased male enrollment when the name was changed to "Bachelor Living"

Call it "Independent Living" and teach the basics of:

* Budgeting
* Car maintenance
* Home repair
* Cooking
* Household maintenance
