A little sympathy, maybe a prayer, would be appreciated.

Of course you are correct. I was only joking. I truly do feel sorry for all involved. I am from Louisiana and I certainly sympathize with them.

The reason why they were using brooms is because there were no or too few mops, I'm sure.

The Demo Day at Greystone hasn't been canceled, has it? Is the range at least open?

To much water. Use the broom to push out the majority and deeper parts, use mop for, well, mop up. What they really need is a damn pump. You can not tell me after all the flooding there ain't at least one pump around.

Citizens complain about clogged drains, yet do nothing themselves to fix the problem besides whine to the government. Entitlement is at an all time high. Oh, I pay taxes yada yada boo hoo

There's definitely a drainage problem in many places from what I saw and drove through.
The problem is that a lot of open ditches are not cleared.
The ones that have been cleared have not been modified to increase the flow capacity.
It doesn't look like curbside drains have been serviced because of the roadway ponding.
Wouldn't be surprised if LP and Ricks want to increase taxes to cover the work they should have been doing.

You want them to go trudging around in drainage tunnels clearing debris? Or maybe you think they should rent backhoes to start reworking existing ditches? Should they start installing new culverts around town? I'm all for people not being entitled, but don't be a dumb frick with stupid associations of entitlement and town drainage systems.
