This is why I hate when people tell infertile couples to “just adopt” like it’s the easiest thing in the world. This is not an uncommon story.

Stories like in the OP are part of why adoption isn’t an option I wish to consider.

Just not an emotional roller coaster I ever wish to ride on.

I don’t remember exactly which drugs it was...but it was illegal drugs. And I only cared for that piece of trash for one shift so have no idea what happened to her. CPS will automatically get involved whenever a mom has a positive drug screen at delivery....but that doesn’t always mean the baby is taken away for good.
