I remember reading your original post. So sorry for you and your kids. How are they doing? As for leaving, I would do the same thing.
You arent alone. After what happened to you, had a cousin who also found his wife dead in their bed from a stroke. Almost the same thing, she said she wasnt feeling well and went to sleep, he slept on the couch with their kids, woke up to a dark house, found her dead in the bed.
She was much too young, younger than him. of the two you would always think he would pass on like 20 years before she did, she was skinny as a rail and he's chubby/fat. They had two kids and wanted more, and while he goes to work and takes care of his kids he's still severely fricking depressed. Sees a therapist I recommended him which is helping.
Just remember she'll always be with you.

One of my former bosses lost his wife to early onset Alzheimer’s (shitty disease) - he joined a private Facebook page for widowers …he said it helped - he also sold their home too
