I rode shortly behind the procession up I-75 yesterday.. It was an emotional experience.

As someone who has done a dignified transfer, the casket is loaded before the passengers board the aircraft. As in the posters experience, pilots will come over the PA system and announce the specifics and will ask everyone to remain seated while the military members on board step off to retrieve the casket.

Yes it is.

The most impressive (IMO) is when a Canadian military member dies.....the whole COUNTRY gets involved like this.
