Marine geology, marine archaeology.
Pretty simple gig to get into, ECU, CofC, Univeristy of Washington etc... there are tons of schools that have programs for this.
I'm a coastal marine geologist and we have marine archaeologist with us all the time during hazard and engineering surveys. We've found hundreds of uncharted shipwrecks.
