Why do I as the business owner need to take on that risk? For free too
It's dumb because you want the business owner to take on a 0% interest loan for the customer. Which then changes accounts receivable, cash flow, and the inevitability of non payment.
Most POS systems arent capable of doing this and creditors arent going to go along with this either.
Its a logistical nightmare.
This is for people with high credit scores that pay 4 interest free payments through a 3rd party. It's not for a mom and pop store doing direct business with a customer.

I don’t know about all of that brother bear, but I think we should absolutely bring back bartering. And yes that definitely includes sexual bartering. I’ll bang your ugly wife for a 20% discount. That’s just good business all the way around.

We had this in the past. It was called Layway.
Wrong
I guess I am too old for you young ones.
I can remember putting Super Mario Brothers 3 on Layway at Walmart in 1988 or 1989.
Fun times of having to wait like 6 weeks until I had earned enough money to pay it off.
I was 8 or 9 years old hustling.
Also, Layway was not free. You paid a fee for them to hold it. Most of the time Layways had to be paid off before the end of the year mainly because it was still counted as inventory so the store would have to pay tax on the items in Layway.
OT poor
