In the past, I have parked correctly and people get so close to me or the people in the row behind me are pulled too far up that I am stuck until one of them finishes their shopping. Because of this I now park like an a-hole on purpose.
You avoid this by backing in. In tight parking lots, it's actually much faster to back in (in a large vehicle), and then it's super easily to pull out.

you can get all your in town driving done on the cheap w/the battery and you can still go on long distance drives w/o worrying about the EV charge stations being down.
