Ebola outbreak racing out of control, officials say

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is "racing ahead" of efforts to control it, and controlling the epidemic will cost at least $600 million, world health officials said Wednesday.

The number of people infected with Ebola has grown to 3,500, with more than 1,900 deaths, according to the World Health Organization, or WHO.

"We do need a major response," said Margaret Chan, the director-general of the WHO.

no one should be allowed out of Africa. it's a world crisis. if you're stuck over there....too bad.

have to save the rest of humanity.

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt ebola only spread through bodily fluids?

Yea it's pretty irresponsible to go to Africa right now. Not because of risk of catching it because that could be extremely rare depending, but you could be stuck there indefinitely if it gets worse.

Yes. The main issue is ignorance. Many Africans still don't believe ebola even exists. That's why it's spreading like it is.

It was airborne on that 12 monkeys movie. I understand that is a movie. Best advice is to stay the frick away from Africa.
