Recently listened to an account of frontier life around the time of the big Madrid quake. Tecumseh actually predicted it with amazing accuracy.
He was going around in a covert campaign to unite the Indian tribes to mount one massive attack against white settlers all along the Ohio/Mississippi river territories.
He was trying get the mighty Creek nation to join them and they were resistant. Tecumseh told the Creek chief that soon their settlements along the Tuckabatchee would be destroyed by an angry mother earth and they would then join his fight.
A few months later the quake struck indeed destroying the Creek settlements and they joined his fight.
Tecumseh had an uncanny ability to predict future events. He even predicted his own death and how he would die.

If not for the loss of life it would be amazing to witness California’s coast sliding into the ocean in our lifetime
Coastal California is slowly sliding to the north, where it will eventually get subducted under the great Pacific Northwest and shat out of our majestic volcanoes.
