No test at all and technically this is a true first offense because I did pti for my first one 8 years ago. So penalties were slightly stricter this time.
The breath machines are a money racket too. Every month I have to spend 100 bucks to get it re-calibrated. You can fail up to 2 times in a month. On the third you have to get a special code to start. That’s an additional 75 bucks. In 7 months I’ve only had one violation though.
Anything over .02 and it will not start.
Also the sheriff owns the same company that installs and monitors the interlocks so tell me that’s not some kind of conflict.

I fit were that easy AA wouldn't exist.
Also, with Duis you are thrown in jail and life slightly ruined without any due process. With these you are guilty until proven innocent.

So should driving while drowsy or driving while on your phone.
I can be at .07 and on Adderall and still be a better driver than someone who fell asleep at the wheel.

Louisiana. It differs by parish.
It all depends how you blow. Say you do a .08 where I live and get pti. You’re looking at 6 months suspension on the license. Unsupervised probation for a year. A fine. A class and 32 hours community service. You can always roll the dice and drive under suspension which a lot of people do.
I did that for my first one because it was only 3 months at the time. Trashy I know.
This time I am playing by the book. The interlock really makes you change your habits. I’ll never drink and drive again after this.

As stated many times, it wasn’t me. I will absolutely admit in my younger days, I should have had plenty.

Its simple if you play you pay. If you break the law you better be willing to take the consequences with that choice. It's a expensive lesson to learn and yes it easy to get around most probation guidelines. But at the same time if he does get caught is he willing to serve that six month or a year in jail that was suspended when he was put on that probation. That right there should be a good enough of a deturent. If not I bet ya he cries his arse off when he loses his job and everything that comes along with that choice. Play dumb games win stupid prizes

Those of us who don't or rarely drink should not have to pay for something the drunks need. Politicians love solving problems by making everyone pay for something caused by a few.
