The wide square toe boots are the goofiest looking thing a man can wear when he gets dressed up. I own a pair, and they are comfortable; but they are reserved for “shite kicking” around the farm. I’ve seen many a man in Texas and Louisiana wear wide square boots with a suit or slacks and a sport coat. Immaterial whether they are caiman, gator, ostrich, what have you—it looks sloppy 100% of the time.

If you're planning on wearing a Stetson then tuck your shirt in. If you're gonna wear a Justin, leave the shirt untucked and tuck your trousers into your boots instead.
