not to mention...you realize for decades we have phone books....listed name, address and phone number...so why is it suddenly different now

phone books had phone numbers, but most often abbreviated (initials only) for adults.
Street names were given, but street numbers weren't. If you were a Smith or a Gonzales who lived on Third street and Third Street went from 100 to 4346, you couldn't find the house without more information.
