none of this sounds legit I feel like you are leaving out something important

yeah, it's a brand new quarter. They usually don't start pulling stunts like that until the third month.

No, she still should have her license on her to operate her vehicle.

Nope, but you were adamant about the distance, so I wanted you to use the correct distance instead of trying to trivialize the legitimacy of the ticket she got.

Well that's just a great piece of irrelevant information.

None of this shite really matters if you're going to start talking about technicalities. All your gf had to do was grab her wallet and your vag wouldn't be bleeding all over the OT this morning. The city needs money so just pay the fricking ticket.

Because it's irrelevant in the grand scheme of the story, yet its what you want to focus on. 1 block or 2 blocks doesn't really matter.

o, she still should have her license on her to operate her vehicle.

That's all you really need to say. You're OK with cops not using discretion and common sense. That's fine if that's your stance, but I disagree.

In this instance, it was clear that although she was technically breaking the law, it was in no way detrimental to society and does not illustrate why there is a law needed for having a DL. She could've literally ran up to our apt in less than 5 min and showed a valid DL.

If you feel that particular enforcement of said law is reasonable and is keeping society safe then we'll just have to disagree.

Wait what did she get pulled over for in the 1 block drive she made?

Nevermind. I read back. I'd go to court and be a dick about being pulled over for no reason.

I've already focused on the grand scheme of things. Now we are discussing the ancillary fact that your gf is apparently oblivious to what is happening around her while she's driving a vehicle.

That was all I originally did say. Then you started making excuses that don't add up.

People speeding on back roads could make the same claim.

I don't agree with it, but you aren't going to see me question when I get a legit ticket that doesn't come from a traffic cam.

So waste time and make sure the judge is hard on you instead of throwing the fine out, brilliant idea.

What you aren't telling us what she got pulled over for.. What was the probable cause?

I'd just hope I got a judge that understands the law and have it thrown out anyway. Not sure why or how he'd be hard on me with the law on my side. But you're one of the few people that never exceeds the speed limit, always uses his turn signal when changing lanes, and never waits until he pulls out of his driveway to put on his seatbelt, so I wouldn't expect you to understand how traffic court works.

I still don't know if I buy the whole she got pulled over for no reason story. That's not really an NOPD tactic at 8am on a Monday morning.

He's gone over that. There was none. Easy to have thrown out.

Where have you gotten this out of my posts?

You know what I do know about traffic court? Being a dick is one of the best ways to not get "a judge that understands the law and have it thrown out anyway."

Why do you keep saying this? The fact that it was a check point type stop is not going to influence whether the ticket is thrown out.

The FQ has a hooker running around robbing people. All NOPD has to say is they were looking for her and that's they're out. I'm guessing either the OP or his gf is leaving out a very important part of the story. NOPD doesn't really roll like that at 8am on a Monday morning.

In that case they're really shitty at it then because they could make soooo much more. They really let a ton of shite go.

That's weird, because I've fought three separate tickets in court, been a dick about it when questioning the officer on the stand, and had the charges dismissed each time. So it looks like you don't know as much as you think.
