quote:
But she's doing me a favor
thats fine if you're ok with that
I dont roll like that...then again I pay for my own insurance and dont have to hide things like this from my parents.

It sounds like Paige is paying it directly to the women..no insurance is involved...unless Im missing something.
Right but if Paige tells her she is only paying the body shop then all the lady has to do if file the claim to get paid directly.
quote:
It does matter to me... If I'm paying you to have your car fixed then I want to make sure you get it fixed. Thats a form of fraud or even extortion if that lady told her if she didnt pay her for the damages she was going to call the cops and the insurance company to recover the money to have her car fixed and then she doesnt end up having it fixed.
It's not fraud or extortion, the at fault party is responsible for payment while the other isn't responsible to make repairs unless the car is financed then the check will include the lenders name.

Ah. See those are things I had not thought of
When I was trying to get it transferred after the last accident, I only found one company that said they'd insure it because it's a salvaged title. But they jerked me around and never sent me any paperwork and I called and emailed several times

Im not saying she shouldn't pay it...I'm saying she should go get another quote. Both quote seems extremely high.
I just dealt with something very similar to this, my wife hit a parked car...the body shop bill was $600. I offered to pay half since the car she hit was parked illegally.

I still wouldn't want another wreck on my record if it was in my name

Sorry, I don'thhave time toread all the posts, but I have a paint and body shop. The first Quote is including replacing the quarter panel which doesn't appear to be part of the wreck. Second one is legit but stilla little high. If you are in the br area I will be happy to get it done, and probably be able to save you around 30%. Look me up at Google Color Pro.

To be honest, if I was this woman and dealing with Paige, I don't know what I'd do. On one hand, I'd be upset I was in an accident. On the other, I'd realize I'm driving a KIA minivan.
Then there is this whole "I just got in a wreck with this super hot looking single chick. Fate has shined upon me."
If I was in the Camaro and she hit me, I'd have called the cops before I got out my car. Hot or not.
But I can tell you, I wouldn't be given this run around. This woman obviously is as oblivious as Paige if she is taking counter offers.

This. I honest to God would have looked at her and melted. That's why I could never get a woman like her.
Pussy on the pedestal, I know. I know.

She already posted that she is trying to hide it from her dad who owns the car and pays for the registration and insurance.
Is she fricking 16? I can say with a high degree of certainty that her dad would rather her claim it than get railroaded by some lady who can still turn around AND SUE HIS arse AS THE OWNER!
Paige, you made a mistake..own up to it and don't compound it with another. Your dad is liable here.

Good looking wouldn't get to me. There are tons of horrible good looking people. It'd be the the single mother thing.

Why do you care if they don't fix their car? You still have to pay for the damage done...

She's 36 or 37. I think 36.

She doesn't care, hence the no police report and trying to pay cash. Well she cares some I guess in trying to pay cash and not affect her dad, but it's still self serving.

the police don't determine where the liability falls, the insurance company does
