Speaking of pares/ trails, what is the park off of Surrey right next to the Vermillion (?)? And the sports complex next to the Marine Corps reserve complex? Is that part of the city or for the USMC?

Well there's a park with baseball fields and tennis courts called Beaver Park on Fisher Road by Surrey.

But there's also the nature trail that recently opened right next to the Surrey street bridge. It's cleaned and overseen by the Bayou Vermilion District. It's pretty neat.
