Does anyone use a third party cell phone protection insurance?

I usually pay for AT&T care plan for the first year I own a new phone and then drop it. But I am seeing Square Trade has a much better rate as a third party insurer. Are there others and does anyone have any reviews of these services?

Most of the big ones like ST are legit. I actually just got a WF Credit Card where as long as you pay your phone bills with it, you have insurance with $50 deductible. Works for me. Hope I never need it
