Have it. Love it.
I don't use it for all that it offers. But just as a music streaming device, it kicks arse. Gets LOUD.
ditto, also got it when it was 100 through the special prime member invite
it can tell you your schedule for whatever day you want too if you sync your google calendar with the echo

That's exactly how easy it is. She can hear me on the other side of the kitchen and in a normal voice I can just say "Alexa, add mustard to the shopping list." and she will repeat it back to you and confirm it is on your shopping list.

I got one by requesting an invitation back when it was $100 for Amazon Prime subscribers. I was gonna by a bluetooth speaker for the kitchen anyway, most reviews I'd seen said the Echo was as good or better than most bluetooth speakers in the $100 price range, so I figured it was worth a shot and I'd say whether or not the smart features were useful. I'm very happy with it. It's one of those things that no one really needs, but I've ended up using it a lot more than I though I would. It's great for controlling music, adding stuff to the shopping list, and setting timers and stuff hands free when working in the kitchen.
