I have the ones that my Grandfather collected. Those would go back to the 30's and 40's, (I'm 57 years old). Some of them are really cool. Local interest one... The Monteleone Hotel matchbook has a cartoon looking carousel bar on it. Some from surrounding small towns that featured businesses that are long gone. Never really knew what to do with them, but feel like I should pass them down to my kids at some point. Kind of a way to hold on to something that my grandfather obviously put a little time and effort in to.

We do that and put them in a fishbowl in my man cave shitter to burn after pooing.

I actually think match books are cool as hell. Its no different than collecting coozies when you visit places

I used to sort of collect them back when smoking wasn't so frowned on(not a smoker,) for a lot of places, matchbooks/boxes, were sort of calling cards for a lot of establishments, and you used to see some pretty cool and elaborate designs, I used to keep them on the fireplace hearth next to the starter wood
