Headed to Africa for a few months and just realized my Malarone is expired by about 5 months. I normally don’t take them but a coworker just caught it so I figure I’ll stop being a dumbass and take my pills. How accurate are these expiration dates?

You're probably good to go.

Getting new pills and being safe is overrated.

It's just malaria, you'll be fine.

I tend to agree but I figured I’d come here to listen to the experts.

Just take three of them, it's a win-win situation.

Where are you going?

I worked for 7 years in EG and Cameroon. I did not take my malaria pills like I should have. I had some wicked dreams on the pills i was taking so I just kept them in my bag.

Niger. I’ve spent about 6 months there over the past year and haven’t taken any pills.

dry pill form medicines never go bad, they just tell you that so they can sell you more of it.

i "think" liquid bottle form or liquid gel capsule form medicines can go bad over time though

You should probably make sure you have good pills. You don't wanna let them snuff the Rooster.
