I don’t worry about (or scared of) dying. My biggest fear is dying suddenly in front of my kids.

This summer, I was in Vegas and thought I was having a heart attack in NYNY. My wife and oldest were on the coaster, so it was just me and my 13 year old daughter. I had her contact an employee to get help. The fear in my daughter’s eyes is something I will never forget, seeing her daddy asking for medical help.
Ended up being dehydration, causing an irregular heart beat (which I’ve never had before). Lost 11+ pounds in 3 days, and took 3-4 days to recover. The Urgent Care thought I had a heart attack. Ended up in hospital for few hours.

FYI, if you are ever in Vegas and need to go to the hospital, do not (I repeat), do not, go to Sunrise Hospital.

Prepare for what you can. Deal with shite head on and let God handle the rest. It’s destructive to you to worry too much. Focus.

I was diagnosed with melanoma when my kids were 12 and 10. Before we got all results from tests, it was a nerve wracking and emotional time I wouldn't wish on anybody.

So if I were to build a new supply chain in another country it would take at least 4 months of me traveling around the globe and about $3 million. I don't have that time or money. I don't have the time because I have to be here running the business. My American suppliers have gone from okay quality to absolute shite. I've had to return every order I've gotten from them over the past 2 months. They have consistently been 5-6 weeks late on orders, and they are going up 10% when they already cost 3x what it costs from China. I could become a distributor for another company, but if I do that I'll be making ~40% of what I make now. Just a real shitty situation all around.

The more of a control freak you are, the more you'll worry

Learning to adapt and change is the key to getting rid of worry.

Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

Yes, I know exactly where you are. It’s not the fear of dying, it’s the fear of leaving your responsibilities as a husband, father. I’ve had some health issues over the past few years and it’s my biggest fear, by far.

I think every Human has a worry or 2 at the least.

Worrying about something I have no control of,seems pointless imho.

I try to approach everyday with the same optimism that it will be a productive and joyous day.

Some fall short.That's life.

I certainly hope your Lab Tests come back good.
