About 10 years ago, someone attempted to rob and carjack a friend of mine at the Chevron station at Monterrey and Greenwell Springs when he showed up to buy a Playstation. Guy even had his kid in the truck. He shot back and the seller quickly sped off.

Anyone remember the ot thread about 10 to 15 years ago with the poster who got their phone stolen during a deal? The ot ended up tracking the phone to suspect to an address in North br, then harassed him endlessly.

Two of the first four times he started buying parts cars, he was robbed. It has never since he changed his practice.

I'd more than likely give up buying car parts from FB after the 2nd time

I’ve bought some stuff from Marketplace. Always profile the seller or buyer from their page.

My friend who is a small town police chief recently set up an “exchange zone”. An area immediately n front of his station covered by cameras and audio. Buy and sell stuff and do custody exchanges. You can even ask for an officer to be present.

Frick that I don’t need cops.
