As a side note, I did technical interviews for a very desirable company to work for. We did groups of interviews on scheduled days. All the interviewees were in a big room and I was standing next to the head of HR. I leaned over and pointed out 6 or 7 guys in the room and told the HR guy at the end of the day, we're going to make those guys offers. He said "you've lost your mind, there's no way you can know that". I said "everyone of those guys took the time to shine their shoes. They will be well prepared and well qualified". He just laughed at me. At the end of the day, they were all chosen for an offer.

This is the most dumbest shite I’ve ever seen. If you hire based on shined shoes I can’t imagine the efficiency
Let me guess, you shine your shoes about as well as you comprehend what you read. They were offered jobs because they were well prepared and well qualified as I predicted to our HR lead.
Their shined their shoes indicated they were detail oriented and liked to be prepared. I recognized this trait and knew it would translate to the rest of their behaviors. I was right.
