It happens when the lady can profit from keeping the same last name.

Been divorced 14 years, I've been remarried 11 years. The ex wife is a professional with a PHD from LSU and still uses my last name. I actually find it kinda flattering.

My mother still has my Step Fathers name twenty years later. She remarried briefly (18 mos.) after their divorce, she took my Step Fathers name back when she divorced that fellow.

Used to know a realtor who kept her ex-husband's last name. Made sense with her being an established brand.

Know a lady who remarried that kept her ex-husbands last name. She is a lawyer. Says that is how the name her clients know her by.

Her husband must feel like the biggest cuck

I would absolutely not marry a girl who kept her husbands name. Good work
