I know it's a macabre thought, but what if I get Alzheimer's? I'd like to have a way to ensure my kids know who I really was.

You wan't them to read about whether you jerked it that day or if you got to frick their grandma?

I’ve got a ton of writings that I’ve done on different things (I like to write), mostly on politics and ethics. It’s not really a diary or memoir, but anyone 100 years from now would be able to know exactly what kind of philosophy I have on a lot of things. Has nothing to do with current politics, more of an overarching theory behind the politics.

I've got a box I started in my teenage years because I loved the historical artifacts my grandparents showed to me, like newspaper clippings and photographs.

I kept my collection going through college, and then contributed less and less over the years. But, I've got a killer collection of memorabilia of things that defined my youth and adolescence like play bills, concert tickets, and many other artifacts.

I kept that stuff with the expectation of sharing it with my future kids and grandkids. Unfortunately, I've had neither, so it'll probably end up garbage one day.

Oh well. The thing about the digital age is that people won't have physical items to pass on. Whatever you've stored digitally about your life probably won't be technologically accessible in a few decades.
