"A doctor buddy of mine's wife divorced him and she's getting $40K per month in alimony. She's doing just fine, and it's not unheard of for broads to come out way ahead in these things."
And people wonder why OJ did it. My friends, a different color of personality, ask me "what was his motive?" smh

Love is grand
Divorce is 100 grand
But hookers are cheaper, you're not paying for sex, you pay for them to go away afterwards.

agreed.
It is simply silly to look only at the financial issues, when there is typically so much more behind a divorce.
I quit handling them after mine.

It is a terrible financial decision for the man. For the woman, it's win win all the way.
I went through it. Lived in a tiny arse 1 bedroom apartment, paying more in child support than a lot of people make, selling off toys, you name it. It sucked, but it was all worth it and I'd do it again without hesitating. I was miserable.
She managed to go buy a new car, a bigger house, always wearing new clothes and shoes. I got all of her BS debt and nothing to show for it.
I'm better now. Got the debt paid off, replaced her with a newer model that has a better body and makes a lot more money.

I'm still paying for a divorce 14 years ago.

I'm over seven figures in cash, property, and division of pension, 14 years also, and still go, to court about 2-3 times a year, court system basically enables the woman to be a parasite, and sort of a ward of the state financed by me, and discourages them from getting off their lazy asses and fend for themselves
