The north hated black people more than the south
They still do, they just make more noise about how racist we are and blacks as a whole are too naive to see the truth for themselves.

A large percentage of northern white people live nowhere near any black people and they like it that way.

As slaves were being emancipated from the plantations, their route to freedom usually took them in the vicinity of the Union army forces. Unhappy with the slaves being freed, the army began recapturing the slaves and forced the men back into hard labor camps.
fricking Yankees.

In La., occupying Federal authorities took over plantations, forced the "freed" slaves to work on them, and the Generals made the profit. Gen Beast Butler's brother was one example of Yankee scum. His nickname was "Commissary" Butler. Although a civilian, he blessed us with his presence to run the money flow. The Yankees even set up a system to buy cotton from plantations under Confederate control(at a very favorable price paid in Union gold) to supply all the patriotic New England textile mills. All you sheep who swallowed the illusion of a liberating army should do some research.
