Two days ago, the Weather Channel ran a article Hurricane Helene One Year Later: A Look Back At The Appalachians Storm While the storm was a major hurricane in the Gulf, its biggest toll was well inland. We talk to residents in Asheville one year later and take a look at some of the impacts.
Lots of people said that the rural, white victims would soon be forgotten. I guess the OP was guilty of that, but a quick search shows that the mainstream media is still on the case.

It's climate change now... because we all know that climate and climate patterns have never changed UNTIL MEAN OLD CO2 was developed.

Goal posts be moving. I've read posts like this from 5 different Meteorologists from along the gulf coast. Fewer storms, with more powerful like the one in the Atlantic right now. They are like parrots.

Nope, but this season is a good example of faulty data collection and ignorance. Most of the storms this season would have never shown up in annual counts prior to the 1960s when satellites came into existence.
Not only would they not have been counted, but if they were counted by boat close enough to gauge barometric pressure, they would have been counted as a weaker storm.
So when they say we have more storms nowadays they are ignoring the fact that they were missing about 30% often storms prior to the 1960s.
You can only compare storm volume from about 1968 to the present day.
Also after 1998 when they started moving away from barometric pressure to wind speed to determine category - you cannot compare category strength to anything prior to 2000.
