It’s my lateral incisor. Currently on my 2nd Maryland bridge that has been knocked out before but has held up for a couple years. I’m super careful with it though and eat around it. I’m tired of having to deal with being worried about it falling out over eating some food. I didn’t even know the cantilever was an option until recently. I know it’s not as permanent as a dental implant but a year long process to get the implant is way to long. Especially when I can get the cantilever bridge done in a week or so for a lot cheaper.

Dentist here.

Without seeing X-ray, I’d go implant here. Will cost more by about $1000 but that extra $1000-$1500 is spread over the course of about 6-8 months. So in that regard, it shouldn’t feel quite as much like $4000 lump sum vs $2500 lump sum.

Cantilever bridge is fine there if you’re older, but upper canine is one of your most important teeth so I’d stray away from using it as the anchor/retainer tooth for a bridge when you could just go implant. That is, unless the canine already has a big arse filling and could benefit from a crown itself.

You would have to see a lot more than just an xray. Implants in the esthetic zone are difficult, in the case of congenitally missing lateral incisors, the ridge is usually grossly deficient making implant and managing soft tissues challenging. How much gingiva is revealed in function (smiling, speaking, laughing)?

Get thee to someone who knows how to handle these situations.

I'm sorry, I should have kept it to the secret Dental Board.
