There's some good people in Demopolis. But there isn't much to do outside of hunting and fishing (as others said). It's got a few old historical homes if you're into looking at that sort of stuff.

The closest places that have anything are Tuscaloosa, Selma and Meridian, Ms. Each one is about an hour away. Avoid Selma at all costs.

Worked on a contract job at the paper mill for 3 months...people were nice, but that's about it.

I have stayed there quite a few times for work at the surrounding areas paper mills, and its not terrible considering some of the other shitholes I have spent time in,but I wouldn't travel there unless someone was paying me.
