That new approach will help Nvidia, not hurt them.

Significantly less sophomoric than to imply a distilled LLM is on par with American models, or that China in any way has “the jump on us.”
You just are too simple to grasp what they've accomplished

Spoken like someone who doesn’t have a clue but wants to pretend to be speaking from a place of authority.

I'll be clearer. If you think the Deepseek incident isn't a gigantic economic event and a wake up call, then you are dumb as frick.
It's one of the larger black swan events in the history of the market, wiping out 200B in value in minutes.
Go research info available and understand what it means. Cause right now, you're completely moronic on the economic and long term relevance of the events unfolding

And when I say platitudes that demonstrate zero understanding of what DeepSeek is, this is the kind of response I would expect. You claim a knowledge you clearly do not possess while expressing the seismic shift in AI models due to a program that most likely achieved what it did by:
1. Spending far more money than they are claiming they spent.
2. Did as China always does by finding ways to skip massive steps in LLM creation by distilling information to train DeepSeek, so much so that the damn thing cites OpenAI’s policies in its responses.
But, by all means, continue to spew your nonsense while trying to convince people that China achieved something on its own that it actually didn’t without using American chips and, once again, stealing from an American company.
You’re an authority on nothing, but you’re working hard to act like you are, and THAT is a perfect example of someone who knows frick all and should be given in kind deference on the subject they are pretending to know anything about.

I was lucky enough that this event had very little effect on my retirement money.

Why do people have a problem with DeepSeek?
The problem is the same with all of China’s “innovations”…it was built using stolen IP from American companies.

I’ve been reading a lot about this DeepSeek and from what I have read and heard, it’s absolute garbage compared to American AI services.
