The terrific thing about snow is the moisture simply seeps into the soil. ..not a lot of runoff as we see with rainfall

Nope. Just a couple raindrops. But a sign that the column is moistening and presumably cooling.

Youngsville covered bridges with sand this morning. By this afternoon most of the sand had been blown off by wind and cars.
