ATT buying them a couple years ago has made them the absolute worst. They used to be bad. They are the worst now.
I'm always having problems too. I've reached the point to where I'm going to get rid of it soon and just go with a streaming service like PlayStation Vue.

I hate them. With a passion. The whole system sucks. U verse was doing fairly well for us, but we got talked into the dish. It sounded as if they're trying to phase out U verse. That's a whole lot less overhead for them as they have to hire a cable fiber optics layer and an installer.
Now? They send out anyone who can install the dish. I ain't gonna lie...some black dude in plain clothes knocked on my door and barely spoke but said he was putting in my dish. No uniforms? No duo of good guys? Made me think they're contracting but for cheap. This guy was in oversized khakis and a green t and gold earring. Just sketchy.
The customer service is horrendous. Just awful and no one wants to take accountability or feel proud to help.
At&t has masterfully started phase one of a semi-monopoly that will soon rival airline luggage experiences and fast food drive thrus.
What is funny is that we could put them out of business in weeks if everyone cut the cord/dish and did all via a Roku or Apple TV device. I suppose in a way they just assume we are all stupid and very few of us can handle change.

It wouldn’t be the first time, just under a different name this time.

When I call direct tv I just want one thing: FOR THE MOTHERfrickER ON THE OTHER LINE TO SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH!!!!
You might be lucky if Peter in Guatemala answered instead of Bobby in Mumbai.
Both state that they speak perfect English, go figure

Made that mistake one time. One of my biggest screw ups I ever did. You don't want Dish.
I’ve had Dish for over 20yrs and never had a problem. Now my brother has Direct and their equipment is garbage. His goes out with a little misting rain. It takes a lot of lightning to knock mine out.
