Yesterday we noticed there were 3 dead bees on the porch. We picked them up and threw them in the grass. We just noticed today there are 7 more dead bees on the porch. Not sure what to make of it. Could this be a result of the mosquito spraying truck that goes around in the evenings? I know there's a decrease in the bee population but this is dramatic for 2 days in a row.

Are they small bees or the big, fat bumble-type bees?

If they are the fat ones, look at your eaves and see if there are pulp spots on your siding near the eaves or if there is sawdust in random areas of the porch. It could be carpenter bees. They settle in and get territorial and fight to the death on occasion.

If it's the small honey-type bees, you might have some residual death from pesticides or herbicides.

If you leave porch light on late afternoon into the night, that will cause it. They hang around too late and can't return to their hives.

This. I've been dealing with a honey bee problem for two years.
