Crowley Police Officer Shot, K9 Killed

The hits keep coming this week.

CROWLEY, LA (WAFB) - A K-9 police dog and two people died during an officer-involved shooting in Crowley.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the shooting happened at roughly 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Josey Street.
Officers with the Crowley Police Department were called out to investigate shots fired in the area. Shortly after they arrived, a man came out of the home and opened fire on police.
Investigators say the man wounded a Crowley Police Officer and killed his K-9 police dog.
Police reportedly returned fire and the man was killed.
A woman was also found dead at the scene. Officials are trying to determine the point at which she was shot.
The Louisiana State Police is conducting the investigating.
We will update this story as soon as more information is available.

Yeah, I thought about posting this Crowley article to his post about how many Americans have been killed by cops suggesting he need to update the number.
Edit:
To clarify since I'm getting dowvotes: the intent in doing so would be to highlight the studpidty of showing the total number of shooting without looking into the numbers to show how many were justifiable/ unavoidable shootings. I'd say most are, but he wants to use the total number as a flashpoint for his audience.

But killing your pug isn't considered the same as killing a human being. The idea that a K9 dog = a human officer is ridiculous on the face of it, especially when the police seem to kill every dog they encounter.
