Like I said - it's not a perfect solution. People are just acting like the government is requiring employers to provide this leave themselves and pay it all out of pocket. I'm just pointing out that this is not the case.
Reimbursing this through the SS tax is actually a way to get the money to the employers faster. They could have just done it through income tax which would have delayed payments all the way to next year.

But they are, for several months, with greatly reduced or no revenue coming in.
