I had a minor code ticket for not renewing one of my licenses. I went in proved I had the license, the case was dropped but I had to pay 2x the cost of the license in court cost.
Lol
I get the license is a cash grab in itself. But I won. I didn't even see the judge for it. Why did I have to pay anything?
Crazy.

As much as people piss and moan about what happens in DC, it's your local government that fricks you over more than anything else.

You would have been better off going to court. What you probably did was, inadvertently get into some sort of "pre-trial intervention" program and the charges were dismissed through that.
It's in lieu of a guilty plea.
fricking lawyers.

Sue the City for lost wages and "pain and suffering" to show them who's the boss

Sounds like you were dealt a little Maine justice.

Show them who's the boss. Drop off a junk washing machine on the courthouse front lawn.
