My parent’s neighbors died 8 years to the day apart at the same age. They had been married for 70+ years I think. World works in mysterious ways sometimes.

I could see this happening with my Mom and Dad. They're the same ages as these two and still kicking but they're having old age issues.
When Mom was fighting cancer twenty years ago Dad started deteriorating and vice versa when Dad had his third heart attack and almost passed four years ago.
They've been married longer than these two.
I dunno. I hate to even think about it although Mom's side of the family tend to live longer than Dad's side.
