So to be clear, it is not illegal in Louisiana to use a public state, political subdivision, or municipal vehicle for personal use, correct?

So you’re still okay with it, however it’s still not illegal, just a policy per each department like I said in my initial response to you?

It seems like we’ve come full circle and after all this I was right and you’re, as always, wrong.

I’ll be riding bacchus again this year. I’ll let you know if we come down before the super bowl. Or if we do for the super bowl.

If you do are you going to pick him up from his home or get one of the employees to drop him off in the van?

Cops that are on duty did that the only time I ever had a problem in Dallas. Three of them drove past me when I broke down in the left lane of Northwest Hwy. under Greenville Ave. during afternoon rush hour traffic. Drivers of regular cars were cussing me for blocking one of the three eastbound lanes. It was in the 80's, so I didn't have a cell phone. Some guy came along, and pushed me up the hill to an intersection, and a parking lot.

I live right there. I’m surprised no one threw something at you.

That part is brutal in rush hour.

Many departments allow there officers/deputies to use the squads to go to the gym/grocery store. It might be illegal without permission from the tops. But if the chief, sheriff or colonel of state police, say you can use them off duty. That LEO is good. Pretty simple.
