Contract positions

You think it'd be worth moving to a major new city for one? I don't have any details but a company I interviewed for said that I didn't have enough experience to be brought in full time but there were contract positions. They'd like to talk with me about.

Depends on what the work entailed and how long the contract was for. I have seen some that generally last for about 11 months and then sometimes the contract gets renewed or you move to the next site. My boss did it for a few years with Haliburton, and spent time in Kansas City, Macon, Lake Charles, Houston, Rome GA, Oman, Ohio and a few other places.

If you are young and willing, go for it. I do contract work in the healthcare field and enjoy being in a new city every few months. Plus the money is usually better with contract work.
