That’s not why. It’s because sound travels farther when it’s cold outside. At my house you can indeed hear the interstate when it’s cold, but not when it’s warm.

That being said, I’d like to think folks on TD are smart enough to notice whether the “rumble” they are hearing is the same rumble they hear every time it gets cold.

I heard it also,in Broadmoor. Sounds like a huge bank of big assed compressors running.
