If you look at CND data, the demographic correlation is clear.
Whites and Hispanics have about the same obesity rate.
Black males are slightly lower.
Black females are by far the highest (15% higher).
Asians are about half of what everyone else is.
What this says is that places with high black populations are going to be higher in obesity. Places with high Asian populations (San Fran, Honolulu) will have lower obesity.
