50 year mortgage. I believe there is already, and has been for decades, a 40 year loan product on the market. I remember it from my mortgage lending days 15 years ago. Nobody used it. The payment difference was not enough to justify paying an extra 10 years of interest.
If anything we should be going in the opposite direction and 20 year loans should be the industry standard.
