I had a string of Christmas Lights that wouldn't light. Tried fricking with the bulbs. Even bought an a/c voltage tester. Nothing was working.

Then I came across this video on Youtube:
How To Fix Christmas Lights With a Lighter

It works!

I didn't have that type of lighter, but I had a push button gas grill lighter that I pulled off an old pit. It has a single wire, but I just connected (touched them together) it to one of the prongs and it worked the same.

Also, I found out the Ulta Lit Light Keeper PRO, which can be found on amazon, has a feature that does the same thing. But I wasn't willing to order one to find out if it would work or not, but apparently it would have worked.

Electricity is awesome. People use it, but very, very, very few people understand how it works. People like Tesla, CP Steinmetz and Heaviside.

Crafty. I have a mini light gun I use when trying to identify the busted bad link.
