Thinking about putting this down in the house now as well. Looks good in the showroom but my only worry is that it's a fad and when we go to sell the house it's going to be a "what were these people thinking" kind of deal.

some relatives had their kitchen redone a couple years ago and had wood tile put in the kitchen and it was the nicest floor I've ever seen. i remodeled my kitchen about 6 months ago and the first thing i went looking for is wood tile. The only thing that was holding me back was exactly what you mentioned.... i was worried it could be a fad and might look really cheesy in 5-10 years or whatever.

upon talking to a guy at a tile store, he advised that if i went with something really out there, i.e. tile that had a really weathered wood look, it could definitely be something that looks bad when styles change. however, something simple and understated would be fine as wood is a timeless look.

We are in the process of building a house at the moment. We are putting it in our master bath for the floor and the platform around the tub. I think it will look great, but my one concern is it is a trendy thing and be out of style in 10 or 15 years. We went with Daltile Season Wood in autumn wood. It has a rustic look.
