David D. deBerardinis is tentatively set to make another court appearance before the end of the year for a competency hearing.

In July, the Shreveport business man was court ordered to be committed to a medical facility to be further examined after the results of a preliminary report filed in March raised question on whether he is mentally able to stand trial.

It was believed that deBerardinis could spend up to 45 days in the facility, so trial and other related pretrial matters were continued without date.
